I am not an early adapter. I have friends who love to pick up new things as soon as they are available and then spend large portions of their lives playing around and experimenting with various tools and products. I typically wait for them to go up a learning curve, distill what works and what doesn’t and then I adopt whatever they settle on.

With that in mind, my present day toolset is super simple.

Professionally

  • MS Copilot - we have it at work as part of M365 Suite. It kinda sucks compared to pretty everything else I have access to. If I happen to be in M365 portal and a question is simple enough, I might entertain Copilot just to save some clicks.
  • Claude Code (along with Claude.ai) - we rolled this out company-wide in my day job and it has been an incredible force multiplier for us

Personally

  • TypingMind has replaced the old ChatGPT Pro subscription - I can bring my own API keys to any model and my monthly bill is a fraction of the previous $20/mo
  • Cursor - for light personal coding projects (like this website)
