Welcome to my tiny corner of the internets.

Here you will find me sharing some notes/ideas on whatever comes to mind. This site is a bit of an experiment in that rather than a traditional blog, which I’ve also attempted to start several years back, this site is structured as a digital garden.

Based out of Rochester, NY, I live with a cat, a dog, a kid, a bird, and a wife (there may or may not also be a bat living in our attic). I work in tech as a Director of Software Engineering. When I’m not at work, I volunteer and serve as a president of the board at Dharma Refuge and I try to spend as much time as possible in a sea kayak. And then with various degrees of (ir)regularity I meditate and do yoga.

Depending on what brought you here, below are some starting points to choose your own adventure.

Leadership

If you found me…

  • because we work together (or we worked together in the past or possibly will work in the future)
  • through LinkedIn or some other professional function or event
  • because one of us was doing that “networking thing” that people do these days

… one of my major passions is leadership - whatever that means and it is something I’m always exploring and looking for others.

Sea Kayak

If you found me…

  • somewhere on, in or near a kayak
  • through BayCreek or another paddling shop/group
  • on Facebook (which I primarily use to explore paddling community)

… a sea kayak is something I fairly recently made a jump to from more casual recreational kayaking. I’m always on the lookout to connect with others who are local and looking to practice or paddle together.

Dharma & Meditation

If you found me…

  • through Dharma Refuge where I volunteer in various capacities including serving as a president of the board at the moment
  • through one of the other communities like Wonderwell
  • in one of meditation retreats that we both attended

… or maybe you just stumbled in and now are curious about meditation.
