In Atomic Habits, James Clear states that most people will not rise to the level of their aspirations or goals, but rather they will fall to the level of systems/habits/routines that they’ve built for themselves.
Clear goes on to point out that if you look at a sample of people who are successful and who aren’t, many people within that set will have goals, dreams and ambitions. What separates those that stand out from the pack is the routines, the systems and habits that they build for themselves.
