I’m not a writer. In the past, writing took me a solid month of drafting, rewriting, and proofreading. Even then, I’d revisit published posts months later and still catch mistakes.

AI doesn’t write for me. Instead, it acts as a sparring partner to help express what’s in my mind. I use it as a thought organizer to figure out what I want to say, and using it as a writing partner is the natural next step.

Here is how the loop works:

  1. Start with a rough copy or a raw brain dump.
  2. Share what you have with the model.
  3. Let the model structure and clean it up.
  4. Read through every sentence, make edits to ensure it sounds like you, and send it back for another review pass.
  5. Go back to step 2 and rinse and repeat two or three times.

The final text captures my exact ideas and voice, but the process of getting there is so much easier than going at it alone.

The key is the partnership. I use the model to bounce ideas around and get feedback. I never just say, “write X for me” and accept the output.
